​Hardee County Industrial Development Authority/Economic Development Commission (IDA/EDC)
The IDA/EDC’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in Hardee County by attracting a diversity of new businesses; increasing industrial investment while facilitating the retention and expansion of existing business and industry. The IDA/EDC has information on all the up-to-date local and state incentives available to business owners.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
​The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at South Florida State College, assists existing and emerging businesses in Highlands, Hardee and DeSoto counties, through no-cost confidential business consulting, information, and low-cost training. Whether starting, buying, growing or selling a business, the Florida SBDC at USF has what entrepreneurs need to grow and succeed. Consultants can assist entrepreneurs in a variety of business areas, including: marketing, business certification, capital access, market diversification, developing strategic business plans, export services, and web optimization.

​​Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)
​The mission of the CRA is to bring about the economic revitalization of an established target area located in downtown Wauchula. They offer a number of impressive business incentives to those who are interested in relocating or starting a business in the downtown Wauchula CRA District (based on certain qualifications).
